Cinema is an art form. Art is expression, not just description of an observed phenomenon, not just satisfaction and comfort of the audience. An author needs a long time to create something good: the time for inspiration, the time for planning, the time for production. An author have to stay by his idea, may be for years, until the final result.
Everything can give us emotions. Art is a permanent emotion guided by uneasiness.
About "Alien, the man of the future"
In this film I want to show the alienation that brings a man to leave emotions in order not to suffer. I think everybody feels this at least one time in his life. This feeling, coming from a special period of my life, has turned into a film character who can't experience emotions. There is not particular reason for this: it has been happening since he was born. He lives in a rational way and he doesn't suffer. He is the Alien. Then me and my friend Mauro John Capece, co-director and co-writer of the film, have made together this special story. In order to put the emphasis on character "Alieno", we have also added to the original story five typical Italian characters: - Jonathan, a misunderstood Italian painter. He hates ordinary people and only loves his muse: Eva. - Eva, a very beautiful model who wants to become a writer. She hates the horny men that everyday surround her. - Gino, a typical Roman. He takes photos of his town, he loves Rome and the Italian food. - Riccardo, a little businessman. He goes to nightclubs looking for sexual adventures. He likes to drink expensive Italian wines. - Ambra, a simple woman who is scared to grow old. The film is made of narrative sequences broken up by documentaries about the human beings. The film leaves the spectator thinking: "how much of Alieno is in me?" I think this is a very special hypnotic film.
